Shesha Naga is a photographic exploration of life in Nepal following the devastating earthquake, framed through the cultural lens of Hindu cosmology. In Hindu belief, Shesha Naga, the cosmic serpent, supports the Earth, and its movements are said to cause tremors, an ancient metaphor for the forces that shape the natural world. Through portraits of survivors and candid scenes of daily life, this project captures both the human resilience and the lingering presence of unseen forces that continue to influence communities. The photographs juxtapose the quiet persistence of everyday life with the physical and emotional scars left by the earthquake, reflecting how people navigate recovery under the weight of history, faith, and nature.
